Alongside my main line of work in TV/Film, I’m also available to hire if you, or a family member has an interesting tale or life story to tell.

As my mother was slowly dying of cancer many years ago, I spent a few days with her, letting her tell her potted history and recorded it with my equipment so that family members would have a way of remembering her later. I then took the audio and broke it up into 3 manageable parts of about an hour each and interspersed each hour with 2 or 3 music tracks from my mum’s favourite artists. It’s something I listen to every few years or so and remember some of my last moments with her, but also of course, many of the happier ones before that too. Subsequently it’s also a process I’ve begun with my father too and I’d be delighted to help you tell your stories as well.

Since that time I’ve also gained other skills in photography, filming, drone flying and simple video editing. Although I really value the audio only approach (as you can listen to your relative no matter where you are, or what you’re doing), if you would prefer to film them/yourself, or simply have a few photographs to go along with the audio, that is entirely possible.

Recordings can take place anywhere you’d like, within reason. At home, at your place of work if suitable, out on a walk, and I can accomodate up to 8 people talking at the same time, though one on one in a familiar setting usually works best.

At the end you’ll have a high quality digital audio recording which can be sent to you to download, or for a small fee can be placed onto a USB stick or CD.
